In every location, Delano nurtures a refined spirit of community, welcoming the world's most curious, creative and well-traveled.Under the general guidance of the Director of Spa, the Spa Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the spa, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, service, and guest satisfaction. This role manages the spa team across multiple disciplines including therapists, attendants, and coordinators while ensuring seamless guest experiences, staff performance, operational efficiency, and strict adherence to brand standards. The Spa Manager plays a key role in guest relations, staff development, inventory control, and the overall wellness environment of the spa, with a focus on luxury service, team leadership, and operational excellence.Your key responsibilities include:Collaborate daily with the Director of Spa; provide shift updates and monthly reportsEnsure cleanliness and maintenance of spa, equipment, and guest areasManage therapists' restocking of rooms and preparation of treatment products, coordinating with housekeeping and engineering for repairsOversee spa attendants and locker room upkeep; ensure spa opens/closes on scheduleEnforce staff dress code, punctuality, professionalism, and monitor therapist performance and guest feedbackManage therapist scheduling and shift coverage via Spa Soft to optimize laborSupervise reception staff, ensuring adequate coverage, smooth operations, and proper guest communicationHandle guest services: greet guests, assist with services and retail, resolve issues, and maintain high satisfactionCoordinate group services with staff and external coordinatorsLead spa staff performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and development plansManage team coachingOversee massage therapy supply inventory, purchase orders, and storage maintenanceLead Spa Attendants and equipment maintenanceManage daily Spa Soft operations, cash reporting, and staff scheduling to maximize efficiencyWe recognize we are in the hospitality industry and that may require us to provide lateral service. We will on occasion call for each individual in the team to on a routine basis perform various related tasks as needed in the spirit of providing exceptional guest service.Specific job knowledge and skills include:High school Diploma or equivalent education required. Bachelor's Degree preferredMinimum of 1-2 years' experience in a supervisory or management role within a spa or wellness environment preferably in an upscale or luxury lifestyle brand hotelProven experience managing day spa operations or similar wellness facilitiesStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse teamProficient in spa management software and general computer applicationsExcellent organizational and multitasking abilities to handle daily spa operations smoothlyExceptional customer service skills with a guest-focused mindsetFlexible availability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidaysStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and facility maintenanceKnowledge of spa treatments, products, and industry trendsProfessional demeanor with a polished appearance and positive attitudeAbility to collaborate effectively with other departments and vendorsAll team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
